Hi!
Thought I'd write a little journal since I'm not as actively present as I used to be.
I'm still hard at work storyboarding our games at Eidos Montreal-Square Enix. It's been 5 years already!
I have a small project I've been doing since Spring with a lot of procrastination, a storyboard-animatic-animation of sorts.
It was supposed to be a test to see if I could do limited animations in a rough sketchy-doodle style like I tend to do but ended up doing it clean (which takes longer, requires more patience, less visceral) . Phase 1 of 3 is done (storyboard phase). Now I'm turning it into an animatic with wonky software.
Despite same diet and amount of physical activity (nearly none) I've been gaining more weight. Being in your thirties sucks for that. I've more or less been living a teenage geek's life for a bit and I'm considering changing major aspects of my lifestyle to change that. I've struggled with this for years and the need for that change starts to feel more and more urgent as my body gets older. It's not so much about denying myself of the geeky things I like but to perhaps not focus my life around it so much outside of my professional life.
So far this year I've had a generally more positive outlook in life compared to previous years, just the beer belly weight dragging me down XD I guess I mostly used to write journals when I needed to vent/complain/expose my insecurities in the past. Though it gave you some insights on the internal struggles that some artists may have it also painted a picture that is hard to digest. I'm a little sorry about it but I am thankful for those that lent me their ears---eyes.
Again, check out my Twitter for those random doodles twitter.com/padderooz , love you all and I'll be back with more stuff to share like always : )

Artists on Multiple Websites and their Followers
Hello!
I currently use twitter, deviantart, artstation, trickle things through instagram and tumblr and share a few things with friends & family on facebook. I was wondering about the viewers on deviantart , especially the non-artists who are not scratching their heads at how to get more visibility:
How do you feel about artists sharing or even moving to different websites? Do you ignore it all? Do you insread also try and follow your favorite artists on these sites? Do you ALREADY follow many of those extra websites/apps so it works out in the end anyways? How do you feel when artists decide to use patreon, even if it's partial exclusivity
WatchFeed
So if I get this right, our watch feeds are now an "endless" list from which we don't remove anything anymore?
Llamas and Eclipse
So apparently I've reached Ninja Llama level. I never really paid much attention to it, but I remember I had a Super Llama icon for the longest time. I didn't think the llama exchange would still be a thing for deviantArt Eclipse but then my slow brain started turning: llamas were used a lot in Mayan culture---Mayans and the eclipse. Llama and Eclipse.... OOOOOOOOOoooooohhhkay Was that relation intentional? XD Have a nice day!
UGHnnhhhh Eclipse
Guess we gotta get used to this new format; they removed access to the old deviantArt UI. It's a bit of a headache hunting where all the buttons and functions are; they're definitely not "intuitive", but I'm sure we'll get used to it soon enough. I mean, Facebook is 10x worse.
